7" x 9" Indigo hand-dyed cotton, wool, and poly threads on resin cow skull
Every thread is placed specifically on the cow skull. The yarn is bound to the cow skull with beeswax and pine pitch. The art form is inspired by the thread painting culture of the Huichol Tribe in Mexico. They create these works of art as a form of prayer and offerings to ancestors and nature deities.
